Seed Swap March 12th at Forest Park Public Library

Join us and the Forest Park Public Library for a free and fun seed swap on March 12th. The seed swap is a public event where gardeners can bring excess or unwanted seeds and swap them for something new. Don't have any seeds to swap? That's okay too. There are always plenty to go around. More info and  RSVP here.

Returning Gardeners: Please complete your member agreement and submit your payment by March 15th 2023. You should have received an email with instructions and links.   New Gardeners: If you are interested in getting a garden plot for the 2023 season and you did not garden with us in 2022, please add your name to the wait list here.   After returning gardeners have a chance to renew their plots, we'll start contacting people from the wait list.

Plot Rentals for 2022 Opening Soon!

  Happy 2022!  We are just coming out of hibernation at the Forest Park Community Garden and we're getting ready to plan another fantastic year of gardening. Thanks for your patience as we recover from the holidays and start thinking about the spring growing season.  We will be reaching out to returning gardeners this month and opening the waitlist at the end of February. If you are already on the waitlist, sit tight and we will email you as plots become available. If you would like to join the waitlist, please fill out this form to secure your spot in line. More information about the Forest Park St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Seed Swap, and Opening Day will be forthcoming. Stay tuned! 
Hello 2020! We are so excited to begin our 11th year of gardening! While the weather is still a bit dreary, we're busy planning this year's gardening season.  Here's what's coming up this year: Garden plot renewals for returning gardeners are due February 24th. Garden applications for new gardeners will be accepted after February 24th. Plots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Please email us at fpcommunitygarden (at) gmail (dot) com to get on the wait list and to request a Member Application. We'll be marching in the Forest Park St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 7th, giving out seed packets to parade goers. Hello 2019!

I'm writing this during the polar vortex. Its -11 outside and here I am thinking about warmer weather and gardening.  Here's what we're planning for FPCG for 2019: St Patrick's Day Parade Saturday March 2nd- Once again, we'll be marching in Forest Park's St. Patrick's Day parade and we'll be handing out 2,000 packets of swiss chard seeds!  The parade is always so much fun and people look forward to receiving our seed packets every year. We need volunteers to walk in the parade and give out seed packets. Please email us if you want to participate.  Seed Swap Sunday March 9th 2 to 4 PM. St. Johns church in Forest Park-  This will be our 9th annual seed swap!  This year we will again be welcoming Empowering Gardens who will be doing a garden Q and A before the swap begins.
